As a wildlife conservationist from Nairobi, I'm always drawn to places that embrace nature and hospitality, and Ruapehu Country Lodge certainly delivers on both fronts for families. From the moment we arrived, Bernie and Marie made us feel at home. Their kind and attentive nature truly shines throughout our stay. We were welcomed after a late arrival with thoughtful gestures like food and heater setup, which was deeply appreciated. As travelers with dietary preferences, they customized breakfast for us, which was a delightful surprise! The family-friendly amenities here are noteworthy. The lodge is adjacent to beautiful gardens perfect for morning walks, and it's conveniently located near Whakapapa ski field. With 23 ski lifts and groomed trails, it offered countless hours of fun for our little ones. We also enjoyed the splendid spa and sauna after a day of skiing, providing a cozy atmosphere for family bonding. With extensive and tidy grounds, it felt like a real escape, yet was easily accessible by car. I highly recommend the Ruapehu Country Lodge for families craving adventure and relaxation!
